Patron saint of Pescia Romana: St. Joseph the Worker. Procession with the local brass band, Holy Mass, fun and games in the afternoon. Fireworks in the evening.

Stands and the chance to enjoy this exquisite delicacy. Plus conferences on asparagus, a farm machinery show, with displays of tractor driving skills and a concert the last evening.

Athletic races around the streets of Montalto, making the most of the fresh night air.

Melon festival (Pescia Romana)
Food and wine stands, local crafts, music and entertainment. Typical local produce to taste and buy. Even cooking lessons (recipes with a "melon" theme). Firework display in the evening.

WORLD FIREWORKS CHAMPIONSHIPS
In front of the Alessandro Volta power station for a spectacular backdrop. Plenty of parking, stands offering local food and crafts, dancing, art shows and films

Palio del Buttero (Pescia Romana)
Butteri (Italian cow-boys) competition between the neighbourhoods of Toro (the bull), Serpente (the snake), Volpe (the fox), Fagiano (the pheasant), Tasso (the badger), Faina (the stone marten), Lepre (the hare) and Cighiale (the boar). Plus acrobatics on horseback, games for the kids and, needless to say, food and wine (especially the local roast suckling pig and BBQ'd sausages).

Sandro Ciotti Award "Scudetto degli Striscioni"

An award by Italian state television in honour of the much-missed late Sandro Ciotti, "the" football commentator with his gravely voice. The best stadium banners from the previous football season. (early October)

La Natalata
A series of events over the Xmas period in collaboration with the Pegaso association and the town council: Palio della Natalata, clowns and street entertainers, music concerts, theatre and a Boxing Day market (the chance to swap those unwanted presents!).
