The streets are festooned with bright Christmas decorations, even the churches! The traditional symbol of this time of year is not the Christmas tree (introduced only a couple of decades ago), but the nativity scene. This is also the month when the olive harvest is complete and the locals can finally relax and celebrate, as in the Sagra dell'Olivo in Canino, including a historical pageant.
