The Archaeological
and Nature Park of Vulci has developed
a wide range of courses for school
students, tailored to each age group
and area of interest.
There are plenty of expert guides
and teaching staff on hand for school
trips, English and other languages
no problem: the people at Vulci are
only too happy to prepare an alternative,
customised tour, seminar or field
study to suit your specific needs.
What could be better than a day out
in the country (yet close to the sea;
there's even a superb lake and waterfall
within the Park), yet at the same
time getting the chance to see and
touch for oneself the places you've
only read about in the classroom.
Hands on experience: have a go at
restoring some Etruscan pottery, pick
and cook the food they used to eat,
dance to their music or even get involved
in an archaeological dig.
Games & Recipes
For kids up to the age of 14 or so.
Write your name in Etruscan letters;
have a go at being a "hunter"
or "gatherer" and find your
own food in the local woods; cook
genuine Etruscan meals; finish the
day by enjoying an Etruscan banquet
with music and entertainment.
Essential gear: walking boots, sun
hat and water.
