Italy's national bread and oil festival, in the middle of the oil harvest. A chance to taste the special tangy extra-vergin olive oil of Canino.

Olive festival
Every year during the week ending 8th December (a bank holiday in Italy), now into its 48th edition (2007) this is when the locals celebrate the olive harvest with stands offering you the chance to taste the extra-vergin olive oil of Canino, conferences, a procession in historic costume, guided visits to the oil mills and labs... and culminating in an impressive fireworks display.
